The online Masters programmes we offer originate in Liverpool's highly ranked Faculty of Medicine, School of Management, Department of Computer Science and Law School. Laureate, as the University of Liverpool's exclusive worldwide e-learning partner, makes the University's programmes available online, providing the e-learning environment and personal student support. The purpose of this handbook is to give you at least some of the information you will need to navigate your way through the online programmes. Some will be of immediate use, other parts will be useful for future reference. Please do look through this handbook, so that you know what it contains, and so that you will be able to find the information when you need it most. The Student Handbook is your guide to studying an Online Masters degree and provides definitive information on a number of important aspects of student life. These include but are not limited to: study requirements, implications of non-attendance or unsatisfactory academic progress, student finance, curriculum guidance, appeals and complaints procedures, grading guidance and service standards as well as details of key departments and staff.
