10 Year anniversary scholarships
The University of Liverpool and Laureate Online Education partnership - the largest provider of online degrees in Europe - will mark a 10 year milestone of its online programmes. To commemorate this occasion, the University of Liverpool is introducing 10 scholarships, worth up to £20,000 each, funded by its online learning partner, Laureate Online Education.
Eligibility criteria
Scholarships will be applicable for Bachelor degree holders graduated with honors or merit or to any individual able to articulate the benefits or recognizable impact upon their community. Each applicant will also need to meet the entry criteria defined in the admissions requirements section of the Laureate website at uol.ohecampus.com. Scholarships are currently only available for Masters programmes and exclude the DBA. All scholarships must start before April 2011.
Please Note: to be eligible for one of our ten scholarships you must be a current student actively studying a University of Liverpool programme.
How to apply
All applicants will need to submit a written proposal (in English, not exceeding 3000 words) to Laureate Online Education outlining how a scholarship would benefit them as an individual, and also the community in which they live. To support their proposal, each written application will need to be supported by an endorsement letter from the employer, or an upstanding member of the community, supporting their claim, and supporting documentation for their eligibility for the programme.
All proposals will need to be sent to the following address:
Laureate Online Education B.V
De Entrée 59 - 67

The Netherlands
Scholarships
The Scholarship is applicable for a 100% online degree and will cover all Health, IT, Management, and Law Masters programmes.

Successful individuals will be informed directly by Laureate Online Education before 1st January. During the proposal process Laureate will not be in a position to discuss or offer feedback on the status of the scholarship until the review panel has made its final decision.

Canada
Introduction
Depending on the degree you're pursuing, you're likely to be facing higher tuition fees and costlier course materials than other students. However, when you graduate, your new skills will be sought after - and your earning potential will reflect that fact.
That's why the Royal Bank of Canada created the Royal Credit Line for Students - Professional Designation. In recognition both of your needs and your potential, it offers you a significantly higher credit limit, usually without the requirement for a co-signor.
This Professional Designation credit line is appropriate for students studying on our MBA programme. Those on our MSc programmes may apply for the Royal Credit Line for Students; see the RBC Site for more details.
Loan amount
Depending on your degree, you can qualify for a credit limit of $55,000 to $150,000 (Canadian dollars).
Rates
Plus it features a very attractive interest rate of Prime Rate + 1%.
Fees
There's No Charge Unless You Use It:
There's no cost when the Royal Bank of Canada sets up your Royal Credit Line for Students - Professional Designation, and no cost until you use it. You only pay interest on the amount you actually borrow.
This may vary depending on your status and that of your co-signer (if relevant) and the particular lender.
Repayment and deferment
As long as you're a full or part-time student, the only requirement is that you pay the interest owing each month. Remember, if you haven't used any of your credit, there's nothing to pay.
After you graduate, you will have another 12 months before being required to repay any of the principal you've borrowed. Royal Bank of Canada can set up a fixed payment schedule to help you repay your loan as quickly and conveniently as possible.
Application procedure
To apply for your Royal Credit Line, you will need:
Confirmation that you are enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary or an accepted educational institution outside of Canada and pursuing one of the qualifying degrees
An estimate of your education costs (including tuition, supplies, fees, accommodations, food, travel, etc.)
A list of your financial resources (including savings, bursaries, summer employment, etc.)

Education Funds - Bildungsfonds
Introduction:
The University of Liverpool/Laureate Online Education has partnered with CareerConcept AG to offer current and potential students of German, Austrian, or Swiss nationality a great financing opportunity - the Education Fund (Bildungsfonds). The Education Fund provides qualifying students with the possibility of financing up to 100% of their tuition fees and is applicable for all our current Masters programmes.
This financing option provides a great advantage: There are no fixed payment amounts or interest rates. Your repayment doesn't begin until you have finished your studies and are in employment. And the amount you pay each month is based on a percentage of your salary.
Application Criteria:
To apply for funding through Career Concept AG for the Bildungsfonds, you should:
- Be of German, Austrian or Swiss nationality;
- Be able to speak and understand either German or English;
- Have good academic records;
- Be either attending, or accepted onto, a programme from a respected University (such as the University of Liverpool/Laureate Online Education programmes);
- Have completed and returned an Online Assessment, which will take 1 hour or less and can be completed at home.
Note that the above are prerequisites for applying to the Bildungsfonds, however every application will be individually assessed through a multi-level selection process. You will hear from the Bildungsfonds in approximately 2-3 weeks from the date they receive your completed materials.
Repayment:
Repayment is income-dependent, and will begin only after (1) you have completed your studies and (2) you are in employment. You may choose to repay either:
A high percentage of your salary over a shorter time period; or
A low percentage of your salary over a longer period of time.
For more information, please go to www.bildungsfonds.de; or you may apply directly by downloading, printing and filling out this Application and returning it to:

General scholarships
Before you decide on how you are going to fund your studies you may want to look at the possibility of a scholarship or grant. Any scholarship opportunity that you find will be very dependant on your personal circumstances. We have therefore listed several avenues of possible funding that you may want to investigate and pursue yourself. Please bear in mind that scholarship opportunities should be applied for early. It may not be wise to wait until a couple months before the start of your studies as some scholarships may take a long time to process.
If you know of any other scholarships that could be relevant to other students please contact finance@ohecampus.com.
