September enrolment period
Nearly 300 professional people choose K.I.T.
eLearning's online MBA and MSc in IT programs during the September enrolment
period
Rotterdam, 10 October, 2001
K.I.T. eLearning announced today that 299 new students registered to
take part in its online classrooms during the September enrolment sessions.
K.I.T. partners with the University of Liverpool to deliver its MBA and
MSc in IT degree programs through a 100% online format, with no residential
requirement.
This figure represents the largest enrolment intake in the history of
the two online programs and brings the total number of registered students
during the current year to more than 750. "When you consider that
on January 1, we had 35 enrolled students, and that the MBA program was
only launched later that month, we've come a long way," said Chairman
and co-C.E.O. Shai Reshef.
"If we're growing in leaps and bounds, despite the economic downturn
in the IT sector, where most of our students come from, its because we
deliver excellent value at a good price. Both our students and their employers,
who, in most cases are the customers, recognize the inherent value proposition".
Mr. Reshef observed, "Why do companies send so many of their best
employees to us? First, ours are the most truly international online MBA
and MSc in IT programs in the world. Second, our classrooms may be the
most truly interactive and collaborative anywhere. We've resolved the
eLearning dilemma: "how do you create real exchange online, so that
professional people can share insights and experience and collaborate
on assignments?". And, third, our learning paradigm is designed to
enable each student to achieve his professional best and bring immediate
value to his current workplace."
New students are handpicked for classes of 15 to 18 students each, according
to a variety of diversity parameters, including their geographic location,
industry, job function, years of professional experience, and gender.
"With more than 30 nationalities represented, and every continent,
this is the most diverse student group we've yet had. Online discussions
will be richer than ever," said Yoram Kalman, Senior Vice President
and Head of Academic Affairs.
