Liverpool, U.K. - The University of Liverpool and its eLearning
partner KIT today announced that enrolment in its international
online MBA and MSc in IT had grown by over 100% during last year.
Enrolment is up by over 800 students over last year to a current
total of 1,600.
"This type of exponential growth points to the global demand
for a truly international graduate level online program," said
Shai Reshef. "Students from as far as Boston, Bombay and Beijing
are anxious to study, interact, and learn from one another. The
numbers speak for themselves."
The University of Liverpool's KIT eLearning MBA and MSc in IT is
taught entirely online and has attracted high levels of interest
from busy professionals looking to combine work and study. Students
in different time zones interact in an online classroom that is
open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Students from over 70 countries are currently enrolled in the program.
Employers currently fund approximately 75% of the online student
body.
"I have looked at just about all MSc e-learning programs available
but finally chose this one," said Canadian student Dave Chan
a technology consultant in Edmonton, Canada. "Two major reasons
prompted me to make this decision: The syllabus is most suitable
for the IT field. The subjects are well chosen and the discussions
help to keep topic matters current."
Students in the program are required to interact continuously with
their fellow classmates, helping to provide a sense of community,
and encouraging them to succeed in their studies. As classes consist
of students from several different countries, there is the opportunity
to network and exchange ideas with professionals from varying backgrounds
across the world.
"In today's increasingly uncertain world, it has become critical
for professionals to develop a wide range of skills and an in-depth
understanding of international business practices," added Reshef.
"The online MBA and MSc in technology programs offered by the
University of Liverpool delivers that environment."
Established in 1881, The University of Liverpool is an international
centre of excellence in teaching and research. Since the year 2000,
the University has partnered with K.I.T. eLearning, located in the
Netherlands, to provide international online study solutions specifically
designed for active professionals. See also www.kitcampus.com
